The show and accompanying book, produced by Marquand Books, feature twelve of Michelangelo’s drawings organized around the themes “Michelangelo the Man” and “Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel.” Seattle is the sole United States city to exhibit the original drawings.
Michelangelo Public and Private: Drawings for the Sistine Chapel and Other Treasures from the Casa Buonarroti runs from October 15, 2009–January 31, 2010 at SAM’s Simonyi Special Exhibition Galleries in downtown Seattle.
