Browse Before you Buy

We know not to judge a book by its cover, but even so it’s hard to resist buying every expertly designed publication included in the Book Cover Archive.

“For the appreciation and categorization of excellence in book cover design,” the project was started by Ben Pieratt of General Projects and Eric Jacobsen of Whisky Van Gogh Go. The site’s curators cherry-pick titles and categorize them beautifully. You can sort by title or genre, or do a more obscure search via typeface or designer. Even better, in lieu of financial support, the site requests donations to Children’s Relief International, running bookcoverarchive.com and the excellent blog to boot as a labor of love.
